Finding your way around
Every RotorLab page carries the same top bar: the brand on the left, and the Menu button and theme toggle on the right. Once you know the Menu's six groups and where the account rows live, you can reach any tool from any page in two clicks.
The top bar#
Click the RotorLab brand mark on the left to go to the Builder. On the right sit the Menu button and the theme toggle.
The Menu#
Press Menu to open the navigation dropdown. Tools are grouped into six collapsible sections: Design, Analyze, Live, Fleet, Forensics, and Reference. Exactly one group is open at a time: clicking a group header opens it and closes the others, which keeps the list short. When you open the Menu, the group holding the page you are on is the one already expanded, and the current page is highlighted.
The groups contain:
- Design: Builder, Setup Wizard
- Analyze: Balance and CG, RF Link and Range, Throttle Simulator, Trade Study
- Live: Live Telemetry, Live Calibration
- Fleet: Ops Dashboard, Pilot Logbook, Clients and Jobs, Fleet Manager, Fleet Health, Maintenance, Authorizations, Occurrences, Ops Manual, Public Reporting
- Forensics: Log Analyzer, Crash Analyzer, Compare
- Reference: Math and Validation, Developer API
Below the groups, once you are signed in, a separator introduces the account rows:
- My Account: your profile, settings, and API access.
- Community and Achievements: appear when those features are enabled for your account.
- Affiliate Program: appears when you are enrolled as an affiliate.
- Shop: opens shop.rotorlab.app in a new tab.
- Admin Console: appears only for organization admins.
- Change Password and Sign Out.
Press Escape or click anywhere outside the dropdown to close it.
The theme toggle#
The circular icon next to the Menu switches between the dark and light themes. Your choice is stored in the browser and restored on every page, so the app stays in the theme you picked across visits.
Your start page#
Opening the app root or signing in takes you to your start page. The default is the Ops Dashboard, which shows what needs your attention today and links onward to everything else.
To pick your own start page:
- Open the Menu and choose My Account.
- Find the Start page card.
- Choose any tool from the dropdown. The choices mirror the Menu itself (every Design, Analyze, Live, Fleet, and Forensics page; Reference pages are not offered).
- Press Save start page. The note confirms "Saved. Signing in will take you there."
The app footer#
Pages you finish on (records, settings, reference, and legal pages) close with a footer; working surfaces such as the Builder and the simulator do not carry one. The footer links to:
- What's new: the changelog at https://rotorlab.app/changelog
- Developers: the API quickstart and reference
- Terms, Privacy, EULA, and Acceptable use: the legal documents
It also prints the RotorLab version you are running, which is the first thing to quote in a support conversation.
