What I fly under
What I fly under puts on one page what a pilot, a visual observer or a payload operator is asked for at a ramp check or a client's site briefing: the authorizations your organization holds in force, with their conditions, the aircraft they cover and the documents that were issued; the revision of the operations manual in force; and your own training standing. Open it before a job, or hand your phone over when someone asks what you are flying under.
Everything on it is read-only and read from your organization's records. The people who keep each record change it on its own page: authorizations on Authorizations, the manual on Ops manuals, training on Training programs.
Opening it#
- From your pilot record: press What I fly under.
- From an aircraft's page: in its authorizations card, press Conditions and documents for this aircraft. The page then shows the authorizations that cover that aircraft, with a line at the top naming it, Back to the aircraft and Every aircraft.
The page is not in the side menu, and every member can open it whatever their role.
Authorizations in force#
Each authorization in force is a card with its number and title, where it stands (Current, Renew soon, In effect for one held until surrendered, or No expiry recorded), who issued it, its kind and area, and then:
- Conditions and limitations, as recorded on the authorization. When none are recorded, the card says so and points you to the issued document.
- The aircraft it covers, each linked to its page. An authorization that names no aircraft (an airspace authorization, or a waiver recorded without aircraft) says so; on the page opened from an aircraft it is still listed, with the note to read its conditions to see whether it covers this aircraft.
- Open for each document attached to it, such as the issued waiver. When none is on file, the card says that your organization admin attaches it on the Authorizations page.
Expired, surrendered and pending authorizations are not listed: only what is in force today. This section needs Flights & logs: view or Safety records: view on your role and the Authorizations & Insurance add-on; otherwise it says which is missing.
Operations manual#
For each published operations manual, the latest approved revision: its number, who approved it and when, its summary, and Open revision with its PDF. This section needs Ops manuals: view on your role, which every built-in role except Maintenance and Billing holds, and the operations manual add-on.
Your training#
Your own standing in each training program role that applies to you: the verdict (Qualified, Lapsing, Lapsed or Not yet met) and, for each requirement, its standing, when you were signed off and when it expires. Only your own training is shown here, never a colleague's. With no sign-off of yours on record against any role, the section says so. This section needs the Currency & Training Programs add-on; without it, the section says your organization has not added training programs.
